Since the entry into force of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779, a certified ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance) has been mandatory for every rail-bound vehicle operated on the European rail network. The ECM bears overall responsibility for the compliant maintenance of the vehicle – from maintenance planning and execution to seamless documentation. KRS GmbH Klefenz Rail Services is certified as an ECM according to Regulation (EU) 2019/779 and assumes this responsibility for operators of track construction machinery and rail-bound vehicles.
The ECM certificate held by KRS GmbH covers all four ECM functions:
Function 1: Maintenance management
Function 2: Maintenance development
Function 3: Fleet management
Function 4: Maintenance delivery
Owners who transfer ECM responsibility to KRS no longer need to worry about maintenance schedules, inspection deadlines, or documentation requirements themselves – KRS handles this entirely and responsibly.
KRS GmbH operates a mobile maintenance service. Here, road-rail excavators, road-rail aerial work platforms, track construction trailers, and attachments are serviced, repaired, and prepared for operation on the DB network. The mobile workshop is equipped with the necessary technology and testing equipment, and our personnel are qualified for ECM-compliant maintenance of road-rail technology and track construction trailers.
